It was a beautiful morning out at Rood Lake! NETA installed two picnic tables and a mounting block at the pavilion as well as some roof repairs. While we were there, two cyclists from Costa Rica stopped for a rest at the new tables! The grass on the OTL trail is tall in places and the blue trail to the lake has been plowed but the lake and the crossing look great! Thanks to South Florida Water Management District for allowing us to help maintain and make improvements to trails in Cypress Creek. See MoreSee Less

There are still spaces available for next week’s Adventure Awaits Swamp Tromp at Sweetbay Natural Area. What, exactly, is a swamp tromp? Well, check out these pictures from the September 8 Growing Up Wild Swamp Tromp. It’s an exploration of one of South Florida’s most precious ecosystems: freshwater wetlands. Space is limited and registration is required for the Thursday, October 4 Swamp Tromp – go to pbcerm.eventbrite.com for details. See MoreSee Less
